By Pastor Godwyn Aguinaldo Main Verses: Hebrews 10:23 KJV [23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, (for he is faithful that promised;) Deuteronomy 7:9 KJV [9] Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. 1 Corinthians 1:9 KJV [9] God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Due to our daily activities, we tend to forget that our God is a faithful living God. We are blessed to be reminded in this message of His faithfulness. The pulpit tells us that there are kinds of believers – the tired, tireless and tiresome believers. However, no matter what we do, regardless if we are active Christians or not, it does not change the fact that our Lord is faithful to us. Now, we are commanded to respond to His faithfulness. Reasons to be faithful: 1. Because being faithful is in God’s character. God’s faithfulness is not seasonal and does not falter since it is part of Him being God. We cannot dictate nor even ask for His faithfulness because nothing can change His love for us. Deuteronomy 7:9, one of our main texts, tells us that our God is faithful and keeps His covenant and mercy especially to those who love Him. We are instructed to keep His commandments and remain faithful to Him. 2. Because of His unchanging commitment. The Bible reveals countless promises of God and these were fulfilled because of His unchanging commitment. God reminds us that the blessings we receive each day are not luck but are products of His fulfilled promises. All we have to do is to claim these promises, live in His word and give importance to it.. 3. Because of His unfailing compassion. Our God has a certain level of love towards men. Lamentations 3:22 tells us that we are not consumed because of the Lord’s compassion and in verse 23, we are assured that His compassion is new every morning. We have to keep in mind that God gave His only begotten Son because of His mercy. We could have been consumed by our sins without His kindness and mercy. Now that we are reminded of God’s faithfulness, the pulpit commands us to give our absolute commitment to God. How do we give our absolute commitment? 1. Our commitment must be unconditional. We have to give our best for the Lord despite the hardships. A committed believer does not fallback for Christ. 2. Our commitment must be unreserved. If we appreciate God’s goodness in our life, we must not hold back our services for the Lord. We must not restrain ourselves when it comes to our service. Remember that God did not hold back His faithfulness to us. 3. Our commitment must be unswerving. Like God’s unchanging commitment, we must honor our vow to the Lord and we must not turn our backs on Him. When God gives us His faithfulness, we must nurture it and let it grow. Like the lesson we learned from the parable of talents in Matthew 25:21-23, we have to use what God had given us so that He will see that the seed He planted in us had flourished. “Great is thy faithfulness!” /written by: Colleen de Ocampo /published by: Em Gacad

/isinulat ni: Em Gacad (RIGHTEOUSNESS BY REPENTANCE) Inihayag noong Hulyo 14, 2021 - Prayer Meeting Ni Pastor Godwyn Aguinaldo Pangunahing Bersikulo: Luke 18:9-14 KJV [9] And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: [10] Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. [11] The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. [12] I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. [13] And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. [14] I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Iba pang mga teksto:
Romans 10:3 KJV [3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. Philippians 3:9 KJV [9] And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: Galatians 3:24 KJV [24] Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
By Pastor Godwyn Aguinaldo Main Text: 2 Corinthians 9:6 KJV [6] But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. “What are We Sowing?" If you will read the whole chapter 9 of the book of 2 Corinthians, it is evident that Paul was challenging the church of Corinth to give their very best for the ministry. He is stating that God will bless and replenish the resources that they will provide according to how much they will cheerfully give (verse 7). In the succeeding verses, Paul also reminds the church that it is God who blessed them to be a blessing, and that their supplication is a manifestation of their gratitude to God. This verse is synonymous with a widely accepted saying that goes “kung ano ang itinanim, ay siyang aanihin”. It is a measurement which predicts what God will choose or allow to happen due to our course of action. Basically, it points out the expected consequences of our behavior. If we obey God and live a life parallel to His will, of course, expect that you will be blessed accordingly. Sin, however, too will also have its consequences. Here are some points which will further explain the principle of sowing: 1. Sowing in Good Soil Means Expecting Crop Jeremiah 4:3 KJV [3] For thus saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. It means that if we know that we are sowing in the right place, it is expected to be profitable. What we can sow is our time, talents, and treasure. The Good soil is in God’s ministry and profitability means that it has yielded the right result or the fruit of the ministry. Where do we use our talents, time, and treasures? Are we truly giving God the glory by using these things which he lent to us for the furtherance of His kingdom? Or are we using it in and for the world vainly. If we sow in the wrong place, it is unprofitable for the ministry. 2. Sowing Tears Can Reap Joy Ecclesiastes 11:6 KJV [6] In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good. This is a gentle reminder that going out to God’s fieldwork is not going to be easy. There will be a lot of challenges in which God will test us. Sometimes, we will be exhausted, drained, and discouraged. Persecutions and sufferings are bound to happen such as what the saints before us experienced. But come to think of it, it is through these difficult times that we can take advantage and appreciate God’s goodness. Regardless of what is happening, we know that His way is perfect. It is through these things that we realize that we can have joy in suffering for Christ. God is always offering the strength for us to overcome because His grace is sufficient. Though we are persecuted and seem to be beaten down because of our dedication to God’s work, expect that sooner or later, we will be comforted by the God of comfort. The presence of challenges doesn’t mean the absence of joy. Because joy is from God, and God is always present with us. 3. Sowing in Righteousness Will Reap Rewards Proverbs 11:18 KJV [18] The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. Righteous living is something we shouldn’t fool around with. It is a simple principle that we are all familiar with. It is what God expects from His children. God is not ungenerous to those who do their best to live according to His will. One way or another, we’ve all experienced God’s blessings when we decided to do the right things the right way. We’ve seen how He continues to bless us according to our faith. On the contrary, God can also hold off or take back His rewards from those who will not live a righteous life. Again, righteous living is a standard in which all of us should observe, no one is excused from this principle. Sowing and reaping is an analogy that is easily understood by many. For us believers, we can sow (work) for the Lord in a lot of ways. The Holy Spirit convicts us of what we ought to do and how we ought to do it. We are challenged today, that whatever we do, we do it unto the Lord with everything we’ve got. We must not serve half-heartedly but with faith that He has called us to be profitable in the ministry. /written by: Raphael Pacheco /published by: Em Gacad Preached on March 22, 2020
By Pastor Godwyn Aguinaldo Main Text: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 KJV [13] But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. [14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. [15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. [16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. [18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Hope is one of the essential things in our lives. A lot of people in this world hope in order to push themselves to keep going or start acting, others hope to reduce the feeling of emptiness, helplessness, or even the fear of the unknown. There are two kinds of "hope", (1) for the unbelievers, to hope is to desire something to happen or to wish for anything without knowing its certainty; (2) for the believers, there is something we call "blessed hope" which has its foundation set in the Word of God. Here, we will focus on the second kind of hope, the blessed hope. The following verses are only a few that can be seen in the Bible to remind us that our hope should be in the Lord alone.
To fully grasp its importance in our lives, let us find out what God wants us to understand whenever the bible speaks of the "blessed hope". To start, a biblical kind of hope means to have a deep and settled confidence that God will fulfill His promises. This kind of confidence should be the kind that completely believes that God is faithful enough to be true to His words, and one of those is the promise that He will sustain us. Let’s keep in our hearts and minds that even in our own seasons of drought and difficult times, God will water us and sustain us with His grace. Although we are not certain of what tomorrow will bring (it may bring us moments of sorrow, pain, or hardships, even moments of blessings, joy, and happiness), what we are assured of as believers is that we have an expected end which is to be with our God eternally and that is the kind of hope that should be found in us. Titus 2:13 KJV [13] Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; While it is normal for us to feel fear sometimes, we should be able to shrug off even the slightest sign of doubt through our faith and hope in God. The bible tells us that we should look forward to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our faith tells us to strongly believe that if it is His word, then He will keep it. 1. HOPE OF RESURRECTION Who are the beneficiaries of the blessed hope? There are 2 possibilities for believers before the second coming of Christ: (1) We might be able to experience it (2) We will be departed before the second coming of Christ What if we die before the second coming? Are we no longer a part of it?
(Note: "asleep" is the term used in the bible because someday the Lord will come back and will lift up our bodies, even the decayed bodies, we'll never know how but only God knows. Nothing impossible though Him.) Revelation 14:13 KJV [13] And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
Death is not the end but how can we be so sure that our departed brethren are with the Lord? 2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV [8] We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. It is said in the verse that WE are CONFIDENT that they are present with the Lord our God. The idea of death could scare us but the reality of death should not scare us because we have the blessed hope or the hope of resurrection. 2. HOPE OF RAPTURE This hope is for us who are still living. What is rapture? The bible illustrates it as: (1) Sudden - as if we are snatched away (2) Selective - only those who are saved will be raptured (3) Seriously - only the redeemed will know, the others will be left behind Luke 17:34-37 KJV [34] I tell you, on that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. [35] Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [36] Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [37] And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together. It shows a clear picture during rapture that our physical body will be lifted up by the Lord and we will be caught up in the air. But Jesus isn’t coming for everyone, He is coming only for those who have been saved by the grace of God. This is the blessed hope we all must have. Many will expect to go but they will not be taken up because they aren’t saved. That's why we must make sure that we are included in rapture, that our loved one is included. We must win souls and share the blessed hope. Matthew 7:21 KJV [21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Instead of feeling fear, we must be preparing for His return. If we are gone before the second coming, we have the hope of resurrection and if we are still waiting for the second coming we have the hope of rapture. If we have loved ones that are not yet saved we still have time to spread the gospel and the gift of salvation. Remember that we are the chosen people that possess the blessed hope so we should be a beacon for others in return. By God's grace, we can rest assured that whatever happens to us we will be with the Lord in the end for it is His promise. We should be grateful to God for the hope that he has given us, because learning about its importance and purpose in our lives should have cleared our minds and delivered us peace. /written by: Jemaimah Alquizar /published by: Em Gacad |
